There isn’t much travelling involved in this picture, we just drove a couple of miles to the Stanford campus to have a nice walk and shot some pictues. In fact, it happened to be the last warm, summery day here, in N. California. The next day I woke up, got outside and noticed at once that the floor was covered with the yellow leaves and you could breath Autumn in the air..
During our weekend in Sardegna the news came that the long awaited investment for his business has been recieved and the following six months promised to be extremely busy. He decided that before it gets all crazy and weekendless we need to take another trip. We were torn between Prague and Paris and thought, we’d decide later as after the Sardegna weekend he was off for Rimini and flew back to California.
Three days later he called me and said: “hey, I am in Venice and it’s the best place on earth. I’ve booked your tickets already.. Sorry, I should have asked you beforehead, but I couldn’t resist… “ And a week later I was in Venice with him.
In May 2008 we flew to Catalina Island for the Art Deco Ball at Avalon.
The dress I wore there has an interesting story. I got as a gift from a girl whom I only knew online. We made friends in one online community and at some point she sent me this dress without ever seeing me (that was before the digital pictures became so ubiquituos). It fit me perfectly..

In Summer 2008 we went to Italy twice. First time we went to Sardegna. We arrived to Italy separately. I spent a week with my mom, visiting Florence and Rome and as I was seeing her off at Fiumicino he arrived to the same airport to spend a week with his family in Rimini. And in between our family reunions we had a wonderful weekend in Sardegna together. During this weekend in Sardegna we learnt that his new start-up got funded.
